The Seattle Tattoo Expo returns to Seattle Center’s Exhibition Hall Aug. 14 – 16 for three days of tattoo artistry, live entertainment, and community. Celebrating its 25th year, the expo will bring together more than 110 shops, nearly 400 artists, and thousands of tattoo enthusiasts from Seattle and beyond.
This year also marks the expo’s 22nd year at Seattle Center, continuing a longstanding relationship between the event and a campus built around art, culture, and community.
Every tattoo tells a story. Some honor loved ones. Others mark life milestones, celebrate a beloved pet or reflect personal style. That mix of the deeply personal and the delightfully offbeat has made the expo a destination for collectors, lifelong enthusiasts, and first-timers alike.
“The Seattle Tattoo Expo is for everyone,” said Damon Conklin, owner of Supergenius Tattoo. “It brings together the tattoo community and the all-inclusive Seattle spirit we all love, showcasing an incredible range of local and national artists and styles for newcomers and seasoned collectors alike.”
The year’s lineup includes pioneering Seattle tattoo artist Vyvyn Lazonga, Los Angeles artist Shawn Barber, Tony Hundahl of Austin’s Favorite Tattoo, and Big Gus from the hit TV show Tattoo Nightmares, alongside artists from around the world and local favorites and expo hosts Hidden Hand Tattoo and Supergenius Tattoo.
Attendees can explore a wide range of styles, from hyper-realistic portraits and delicate fine line work to bold traditional black-and-grey pieces.
Beyond the artistry, the weekend includes fan-favorite contests, burlesque, karaoke, and live entertainment, plus a lineup of local vendors selling everything from tattoo supplies to coffee and food.
